CLEVA POD® is a patented void forming system for concrete waffle pod slab foundations made from recycled plastic and is compliant with the Australian Standard AS 2870 Residential slabs and footings.
It is an environmentally friendly, cost-effective alternative to polystyrene raft waffle POD or slab on grade concrete foundations.
CLEVA POD® comes in a several full-size pod sizes to suit specific foundation designs.
The unique design of the CLEVA POD® allows the CLEVA POD® to stack snuggly and securely together meaning a standard sized house lot can be delivered to site on a tandem axel trailer .
CLEVA POD END CAP™
The unique CLEVA POD® END CAP is incorporated into the CLEVA POD® and can be cut off the main pod to close the void and prevents the ingress of concrete when a straight cut to shorten the pod is required.

A specifically designed baffle that locks into the horizontal and vertical structural grid pattern on the underside of the POD. The CLEVA BAFFLE™ converts a normal CLEVA POD® into a versatile POD able to be cut on any angle and around any intrusion such as plumbing pipes. The CLEVA BAFFLE™ prevents the ingress of concrete into the void under the CLEVA POD®.

CLEVA POD® SPACER™

The CLEVA POD® SPACER™ is designed to form 110mm wide internal ribs. A unique element of the CLEVA POD® system is that the SPACER™ is designed to sit on top of the CLEVA POD® base flange. Once the reinforcing bar is located into the spacer, the weight of the reinforcing bar prevents the CLEVA POD® from lifting when the concrete is being poured. Lifting is a constant issue with polystyrene pods as the concrete slurry that finds its way under the pod causes the polystyrene pods to float.
Siting the CLEVA POD® SPACER™ on top of the CLEVA POD® base flange also prevents the SPACER™ from cutting into and penetrating the DPM.
The foundation’s internal ribs can be increased in size in multiples of 110mm by adding the clip-on SPACER™ extender.

The foundation’s ribs can be increased in size in multiples of 110mm by adding the clip-on CLEVA POD® SPACER EXTENDER™ giving the positioning of reinforcing greater flexibility.
